Director, Engineering
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and execute design in and design win activities for semiconductor and interconnects portfolios via engineering services.
- Build and manage a strong opportunity funnel and conversion strategy
- Identify and develop high-growth opportunities within target verticals (industrial, Automotive, Energy, AIOT, etc. )
- Lead and manage Field Application Engineering team to provide technical guidance and system level solution selling.
- Strengthen engineering service offerings including reference designs and platforms with strategic suppliers and customers.
- Develop strong relationships with OEMs, design houses, and system integrators in targeted segments.
- Align suppliers' roadmaps with market opportunities.
- Support technical workshops, design reviews and customer engagements.
- Collaborate with Business Development and Sales team to drive demand creation and penetrate strategic accounts.
- Monitor market competition, customer trends, and partner ecosystems to refine engagement tactics.
- Provide timely updates on project status, forecast accuracy, and performance KPIs to management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.
- 10 – 15+ years of relevant experience in technical business development, technical sales, marketing in electronics, semiconductor or R&D environment.
- Strong exposure to semiconductor distribution environment
- Proven track record in design win generation and customer engagement
- Strong system level knowledge and understanding of semiconductor technologies and key applications in Industrial, Automotive, Energy, Aerospace and defense sectors.
- Proficiency in engineering design tools and methodologies.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively with customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and drive alignment on technical and business objectives.
