Reports into: Senior Director, Design & Packaging
The Design Director plays a crucial role in the Design Team and the larger IMX team. A successful individual in this role will be innovative, collaborative, and adept in maintaining consistent design across multiple project scopes while being comfortable in having conversations with stakeholders both globally, regionally, and in markets. We are seeking the perfect blend of high-level strategic and creative thinking, combined with proven ‘hands-on’ design execution skills as well as a strong track record of design leadership, communication and multidisciplinary team collaboration. Ultimately, this role is about creating value for The Coca-Cola Company, by crafting irresistibly distinctive brands, behavior-shaping experiences and sustainable and desirable futures through the power of Design.
Job Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage graphic and visual brand communication strategies: Harness the power of design to boost brand recognition, user experience, and customer engagement, propelling marketing transformation.
• Lead Creative design and design direction across touchpoints and marketing facets, such as Visual Identity, Packaging, Visual Communication, Retail Experience design direction, Digital design direction, Innovation and Sustainable Design Solutions.
• Foster collaboration in design processes: Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure design alignment with overall business and marketing objectives, catalyzing marketing transformation.
• Ensure Visual and Graphic Design consistency: Maintain visual consistency across different regions and platforms to enhance brand awareness and customer retention, driving marketing transformation.
• Creative design visual identity, packaging, visual communication, shopper/retail experience design direction, digital design direction, innovation and sustainable design solutions, etc.
• Translate Brave & Bold Experience Ideas into visual interpretations: Effectively turn Brand Expressions and Business Strategies into compelling visual interpretations, enriching consumer relationships and transforming marketing strategies.
• Lead development of complex brand identity systems for global & regional brands across EUR geographies.
Qualification & Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Art, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10+ years of design experience, preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of industry trends, techniques, and technologies.
• Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills.
• Proficiency with graphic design software like Adobe Creative Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large scale, high-impact design projects from concept to delivery.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with strategizing and implementing design projects for multiple platforms (print, digital, social media, etc.).
• Excellent project management skills, with experience in Agile methodologies.
• Ability to translate strategic direction into high-quality design.
• Strong critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities.
• An exceptional ability to apply and perform design skills (drawing/sketching, ideation, color theory, typography, imagery, texture).
• Be a strategic high level ‘big thinker’ yet have the ability to craft the ‘design detail’.
• Be empathetic and design truly human-centric solutions
• Relentlessly inquire, searching for the right problems to be solved through design.
• Push the thinking and design boundaries with unmitigated, bold creativity.
• Deliver uncompromising design craft.
• Be able to self-create compelling and engaging presentations.
• Have in place, or the ability to build, a wide reaching creative network.
• Have an understanding of the global industry names, agencies and players.
• Good knowledge of Design publications, platforms and events and demonstrates that you are abreast of design industry global news and technology.
For Poland candidates: Base Salary: 289,000PLN to 448,000PNL
Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
Annual Incentive Reference Value Percentage: 30%
Annual incentive reference value is a market-based competitive value for your role. It falls in the middle of the range for your role, indicating performance at target.
