About the Role
The PROGRAM DELIVERY Lead (regional) oversees all customer businesses and customer programs in the assigned region. His/her focus is on developing a long-term win-win partnership with regional customers, in line with the SBU Strategy and its productization approach. Regional delivery Lead is responsible for project profitability (P&L) in the assigned region.
Your Team
PROGRAM DELIVERY LEAD (regional) - This position will have 7 – 10 direct reports composed of Chief of Program and System Engineering and Project maintenance team all aligned on the purpose of customer success in the assigned region.
Responsibilities
Customer Success
- Position Harman as a competent & reliable business partner, maintain relationship with key stakeholders on customer side, especially technical leaders.
- Delivers competitive and innovative solutions to the customers leveraging the SBU product roadmap and technical assets.
- Understands customer pain points and culture to provide tailor-made support.
Business ownership
- Drive the award of new programs in-line with the SBU Growth Strategy.
- Review and Pre-approves Business cases and Offer conditions for each RFQ while evaluating the best fit for Harman/OEM to maximize adoption of SBU product strategy. Sets the commercial boundaries in alignment with SBU strategy and Deliver Leader (global).
- Delivers the awarded customer programs, supporting the individual customer project managers. In charge of the overall technical integrity & conformity of the delivery.
- Develop & maintain a healthy business over program lifetime with each targeted customer balancing short-term and long-term considerations in line with SBU profitability targets.
- Set clear expectations and hold project team accountable for process adherence and compliance to engineering standards, as well as proper problem solving and lessons learned.
- Harvest financial benefits of running business in a win-win spirit, ensures fair business is conducted based upon realization of commitments on both sides. Defend Harman interest where appropriate. Leverage any opportunity to extend business engagements.
- Manage End-of-Life and maintenance phase in a pro-active and profitable manner.
Productization
- Responsible for infusing the “product management mindset” in all aspects of the business including: (1) driving the adoption of products, product derivatives and technical assets, (2) drive customer towards consolidated solutions with low variant complexity and maximal re-use.
- Provides market feedback to the product portfolio team as input to the product roadmaps.
What You Need
- Bachelors/ Masters in Engineering
- Effective Experience in managing multinational engineering teams and domains in an Automotive Electronics context
- Business Acumen, understanding of program lifetime profitability as well as implication of yearly P&L, understanding of financial implication of liabilities and technical risks
- Transformational leadership.
- Ability to act as role model and drive the adoption of Harman target culture and leadership framework
