Job Summary

Comcast is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and highly skilled Director of Corporate Communications to join the Corporate and Financial Communications team. In this role, you’ll help shape and share Comcast’s story across several areas, including the company’s environmental initiatives, content and programming partnerships, the company’s work with emerging entrepreneurs through Start-up Engagement and LIFT Labs, and supporting other corporate and financial communications related projects.


The ideal candidate pairs strong strategic judgment with excellent writing skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to turn complex topics into compelling narratives. This is a cross-functional role that works closely with teams across Sustainability, Government Affairs, Connectivity & Platforms, Content & Experiences, Internal Communications, and Digital Communications.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage external communications strategy and messaging for Comcast’s environmental initiatives and progress toward the company’s carbon neutrality goals.  Partner with internal communications on announcements and employee events.
  • Support ongoing communications related to content licensing, distribution agreements, and programming partnerships.
  • Work closely with Comcast’s Start-up Engagement team to promote LIFT Labs programming, accelerator cohorts, founder stories, and innovation partnerships.
  • Identify opportunities to spotlight Comcast’s role in cultivating partnerships with emerging companies.
  • Draft and refine a range of communications materials, including press releases, talking points, executive quotes, Q&A documents, briefing materials, blog posts, and internal communications.
  • Provide counsel on messaging, media strategy, and reputational considerations.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives and contribute to other duties as assigned, offering flexibility and thoughtful judgment as needs evolve.
Qualifications
  • 10 years of communications experience, preferably in corporate communications, public relations, or related areas.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues for audiences.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional projects and navigating fast-paced environments.
  • Strong judgment and attention to detail, with ability to handle sensitive and detail-intensive topics.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, think creatively, and approach challenges with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
