We empower a diverse range of creators to imagine and develop culturally significant content, while building an organization that thrives on creative ideas, operational expertise and strategic thinking.Red Seat Ventures is seeking an experienced and analytically minded Director, Content Analytics to support content strategy and deal evaluation across its expanding portfolio of media and entertainment ventures. Reporting to the SVP, Content & Talent Partnerships, this individual contributor will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust financial models to assess, value, and inform the negotiation of podcast and creator partnership deals.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of quantitative expertise, financial discipline, and strategic insight to help drive data-informed decision-making. This role will collaborate cross-functionally with business, sales, and finance teams to evaluate potential partnerships, forecast performance, and provide actionable recommendations that optimize investment and revenue outcomes.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Build, refine, and maintain financial models for content acquisition and partnership evaluation.
Support deal negotiations by developing valuation frameworks and providing data-driven insights to inform financial terms and deal structure.
Develop forecasting and ROI measurement tools to evaluate performance across podcast and creator initiatives.
Partner with senior leadership to identify growth opportunities and inform long-term content strategy.
Prepare and deliver data-driven presentations to creators that contextualize performance trends, identify key business drivers, and provide recommendations with quantifiable outcomes.
Translate complex financial data into clear recommendations for both creative and business stakeholders.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
10+ years of experience in finance, strategy, or analytics within media, entertainment, or technology, with a track record of influencing high-value business decisions.
Expert-level financial modeling and valuation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into strategic insights that shape deal strategy and content investment.
Deep understanding of content economics, monetization models, and performance measurement across the podcast and creator ecosystem.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; familiarity with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms to synthesize and visualize data for senior stakeholders.
Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial implications and recommendations to creative, business, and C-suite leaders.
NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
Experience evaluating media and content licensing deals, particularly in podcasting or digital audio.
Familiarity with audience measurement and performance tools (e.g., Chartable, Podtrac, YouTube Analytics) and their application in deal modeling.
MBA or advanced degree in finance, economics, or business analytics preferred but not required

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $114,000.00-140,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
