S&P Global

Director, Business & Product Analysis

London, UK Full time

About the Role:

Grade Level (for internal use):

13

The Team:

ClearPar, part of S&P Global Market Intelligence’s Enterprise Solutions business, is the market-leading platform for settlement of broadly syndicated loans and private credit. We support a diverse global client base—including buy-side, sell-side, agent banks, and corporate participants—by delivering automated workflow solutions that streamline settlement, reduce operational risk, and improve market efficiency.

In this role, you will take an enterprise perspective—connecting near-term delivery to ClearPar’s longer-term strategy—while staying close to evolving market structure, client operating models, and competitor dynamics.

The Impact:

As Director, Product Management, you will lead the evolution of the ClearPar product portfolio (including Loan Platforms, ADFlow, Loan Processor, Message Director, Document Delivery, and ClearPar Analytics). Your work will directly influence how market participants execute critical post-trade and servicing processes—improving speed, transparency, and control across the syndicated loan lifecycle.

You will be a recognized point of escalation for complex product decisions, ensure quality and sustainability of delivered value, and clearly articulate relevant market trends and how product priorities align to S&P Global’s broader strategy and purpose.

What’s in it for You:

  • Own and shape a mission-critical product suite used by leading institutions across the global loan and private credit markets.

  • Influence strategy and investment decisions through senior stakeholder engagement, data-backed business cases, and clear prioritization.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing, globally distributed team—coaching others through complex product and market challenges.

  • Partner across functions (Technology, Sales, Client Success, Operations, Legal/Compliance) and geographies to drive alignment and outcomes.

  • Operate in a role that values adaptability, strong judgment, and creative, data-driven problem solving as market needs evolve.

Responsibilities:

  • Set product vision and strategy for the ClearPar portfolio, linking near-term roadmaps and delivery to a longer-term platform direction and business outcomes.

  • Monitor external market trends (broadly syndicated loans, private credit, post-trade/operations, regulation, and competitive landscape) and translate insights into scenarios, options, and investment recommendations.

  • Build, maintain, and communicate a prioritized product roadmap; secure alignment and buy-in from senior leaders and key stakeholders across the enterprise.

  • Lead discovery and requirements definition: customer interviews, workflow mapping, user stories, acceptance criteria, and clear product documentation that supports scalable delivery.

  • Partner closely with Technology to execute delivery using agile practices (Scrum/Kanban), ensuring timely, high-quality releases and measurable outcomes.

  • Define and manage product KPIs (adoption, client outcomes, operational efficiency, quality, revenue enablement), using data to validate decisions and continuously improve.

  • Serve as an escalation point for complex client, product, and delivery issues—driving resolution while maintaining quality standards and stakeholder confidence.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a globally distributed team: set clear objectives, establish accountability for outcomes, and foster collaboration, continuous improvement, and strong communication.

  • Adapt communication style to effectively influence technical and non-technical audiences, respond constructively to adversity, and build consensus across competing priorities.

  • Collaborate across business units and geographies to incorporate diverse perspectives and ensure solutions align to broader Enterprise Solutions and S&P Global strategy.

  • All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 10+ years of experience in broadly syndicated loans and/or private credit, including strong knowledge of loan operations and post-trade workflows.

  • An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 7+ years of experience in product management (or closely related product leadership roles), ideally in financial technology, post-trade, or workflow automation.

  • Demonstrated ability to define product strategy, communicate vision clearly, and connect delivery priorities to broader business objectives and market trends.

  • Proven track record delivering product enhancements from concept to launch, including post-launch measurement, iteration, and continuous improvement.

  • Experience gathering and prioritizing requirements (customer interviews, user stories, acceptance criteria) and producing clear product documentation.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including ability to build consensus across groups with competing priorities and secure senior-level alignment.

  • Experience using KPIs and data-driven insights to drive prioritization, assess impact, and improve outcomes (not intuition-only decision making).

  • Experience leading and developing others—coaching, empowering, and holding teams accountable for outcomes across a distributed environment.

  • Strong communication, emotional intelligence, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate conflict constructively and influence across functions.

  • We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with ClearPar, Loan Platforms, or comparable loan settlement / loan processing / servicing platforms.

  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA or equivalent).

  • Experience building business cases for platform modernization, workflow digitization, and/or scalable operating models in post-trade.

  • Demonstrated expertise across more than one specialty area (e.g., syndicated loan operations + product leadership, or product + data/analytics), with the ability to coach others on complex topics.

  • Experience working with global clients and partners across regions, incorporating diverse perspectives into roadmap decisions.
