Vaxcom Services LLC (a Parsons company) is looking for an amazingly talented Director of Business Operations and Security to join our team! In this role you will get to lead the business and security elements of Vaxcom with a strong emphasis on security and administration.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Providing strategic and tactical leadership across all corporate functions ensuring the operational efficiency and security integrity of the organization.
  • Overseeing corporate office operations, with a strong emphasis on both physical and personnel security:
  • Overseeing security and business licensing.
  • Manage the Vaxcom Federal Firearms Licenses (FFL) program with ATF and the company weapons armory/inventory.
  • Direct physical security operations for the corporate office including access control, monitoring, and incident response along with management of the classified spaces and secure computer systems located within the facility.
  • Will manage corporate security personnel providing supervision, direction, career development, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Oversee investigations related to security incidents and policy violations providing guidance and recommendations for action to the Company President and Vice President.
  • Will assist in establishing security protocols, policies, and training with other corporate personnel.
  • Will manage crossovers and security briefings for new hires, oversee badge issuance/renewals, oversee foreign travel and other security reporting, coordinate meetings with Client security, and coordinate debriefings for existing employees.
  • Will work closely with Client security counterparts for required inspections, audits, reporting, metrics submission, and related ad hoc documentations.
  • Will work with Vaxcom Program Managers to delivery security expertise to their individual business operations.
  • Overseeing corporate office operations, with emphasis on Administration including HR, Talent Acquisition, Facilities, and general program management:
  • Will provide support for new hires and incumbent captures, and new program staffing kick offs.
  • Will oversee facility operations including space planning, maintenance, access control, and workplace safety.
  • Will manage corporate admin personnel providing supervision, direction, career development, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Will assist in developing, implementing, and refining operational policies, procedures, and workflows. Collaborate cross-functionally with other business COEs to align operations and security efforts.
  • Will assist with initial contract proposals and renewals by providing direction on operational, facility, and security matters.
  • Will manage Vaxcom emails and work with company IT to establish and disable user accounts as well as leading testing and password security efforts.
  • Will provide talent acquisition/recruitment support as required in order to effective support the company.
  • - Will work closely with the company CFO to identify areas of efficiency and cost-savings through budget review, tracking, and reallocation of resources.
  • Will work closely with the Contracts and Sub-contracts personnel to keep current contracts accurate and up to date.
  • Will provide guidance and support to Company president and vice president, other program managers, and other stakeholders both internal and external to Vaxcom as required.
  • Will take an active role in business proposals and Client engagement.
  • Will lead ad hoc projects and taskings as needed.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field plus 10 years direct applicable experience, or in lieu of a degree 15 years of direct applicable experience working in a program management related role.
  • Previous experience managing and delivering a large security program protecting both physical assets/facilities/IT and personnel.
  • Broad based knowledge of a company's business operations supporting the IC.
  • 5+ years managing personnel and programs at different levels.
  • Previous experience in talent acquisition programs and the administration of onboarding and off-boarding activities.
  • Previous experience in researching, designing, modifying, and delivering policies, procedures, and plans.
  • Outstanding communication skills to include: verbal, written, and briefing as well as effective interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in working as part of a corporate team and with outside stakeholders.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to meet changing requirements.
  • Familiarity with the full life-cycle of contracts administration.
  • 10+ years of management experience in security operations.


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Formal PMP training and/or certification.
  • Familiarity with budget execution and resource management.
  • Previous experience working in facilities management, HR management, and safety/health programs.
  • Previous experience with quality management programs or projects.
  • Previous experience working on contract bids/proposals and competitions.

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $148,300.00 - $266,900.00
