This role is responsible for leading key initiatives to transform and improve distribution operations, particularly for the brokerage channel. The person will drive process optimization, technology enablement, and change management to enhance the end-to-end client journey and increase distribution satisfaction. This role acts as a crucial bridge between business stakeholders and digital/IT teams, ensuring seamless delivery, adoption, and measurable impact of strategic initiatives.
Preferred skills
Sound knowledge of life insurance distribution operations, digital transformation, and change management.
Proficient in spoken & written English and Chinese.
Mandarin is an advantage.
Proven track record of success in large-scale transformation projects with direct impact on MCV growth and Distribution enablement.
Experience implementing digital projects specifically for MCV distribution channels within the life insurance / financial industry.
Excellent leadership and communication skills to influence and inspire cross-functional teams and senior executives.
Solid understanding of change management principles and methodologies, with the ability to effectively manage resistance to change and drive employee adoption.
Strong business acumen and financial management skills, including the ability to analyze and interpret data, assess ROI, and make informed decisions.
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, or related field.
Over 15 years of experience leading strategic projects, business enablement/process improvement initiatives.
Broad knowledge of all aspects of the system development lifecycle, i.e. Scrum, Agile, waterfall.
PMP or Lean Six Sigma certification is an advantage.
Responsibilities
1) Managing Team: a) Assist the department head in managing the Business Enablement functions and performing management activities. b) Provide coaching with team members to ensure the deliverables meet quality standards. c) Define a strategic initiatives roadmap for the Life & Health business.
2) Transforming and Improving Distribution Business and Operations through EODB Initiatives: a) Lead EODB (Ease of Doing Business) initiatives for the brokerage channel to optimize processes, enable technology, and manage organizational change to transform and improve agency and broker operations. b) Organize regular communication forums with the brokerage channel to gather feedback. c) Drive broker digitalization roadmap and execution specifically for MCV and local IFA segments. d) Oversee the broker compensation system revamp project from planning to implementation, collaborating closely with Sales Personnel, Broker Admin, Business Development, Finance, Digital Delivery, and IT. e) Partner with business leaders across departments to identify pain points, opportunities for improvement, and drive process and technology solutions. f) Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project status, results, and recommendations to senior leadership.
3) Change Management: a) Lead the team to develop and implement effective change management strategies. b) Assess the impact of change initiatives. c) Communicate the rationale behind changes to employees. d) Provide training and support during the transition. e) Address resistance and concerns from employees. f) Facilitate a smooth transition and maximize the benefits of change. g) Ensure alignment of change initiatives with the needs of clients, business partners, and distribution channels. h) Develop and implement effective management strategies.
4) Performance Optimization: a) Establish performance metrics, KPIs, and measurement framework of strategic initiatives/projects. b) Track and evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives/projects. c) Analyze data and identify trends. d) Provide actionable insights to improve business results and operations efficiency. e) Drive superior outcomes for business partners. f) Continuously improve and optimize performance.
