The Director – Boston Dynamics Consulting – works directly with external clients on paid engagements, operating with a high degree of independence. They will lead projects and oversee Senior Consultants, Consultant and Engineers in the delivery of engagements. They will support sales and business planning by building external relationships, managing client executive relationships, driving proposals and bids on projects, and acting as a thought leader. They will learn from and synthesize insights from our product leaders and external experts to shape strategic direction, perform complex analysis, and develop planning recommendations for customers. Examples of projects Directors will help sell, structure, manage, and deliver include developing client-specific “roadmap to humanoids”, doing operations assessments & gap analyses, running VIGOR (Vision, Investment, Governance, Operational Readiness, and Resourcing) workshops to improve positive outcomes from adopting dynamic systems, business case development, and more.
Lead project engagements and own customer relationships to ensure successful delivery of strategy and technical engagements, and to source follow-on engagements
Source and structure responses to proposals and bids for Boston Dynamics Consulting engagements
Become a trusted advisor to external customers and manage a project team to deliver client projects around the strategy or implementation of robotics & intelligence solutions.
Lead strategic analysis efforts on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive positioning to support customer decision-making.
Develop and refine business cases, scenario plans, and models to evaluate key opportunities and investments.
Translate complex data and insights into compelling executive-level presentations and planning documents, and develop more junior resources in their ability to deliver these engagements.
Provide ongoing project management around complex engineering and strategy engagements.
Structure & lead workshops for clients.
Mentor junior analysts and contribute to building best practices within the strategic planning function.
Builds strong relationships with customer executives to ensure successful team delivery of engagements, source expansion work inside of customers, and bring on new customer engagements

Ability to work independently and handle complex, ambiguous problems with structured thinking.
Excellent storytelling and executive communication skills, with the ability to influence decisions.
Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Strategy, or related field; MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred.
20+ years of experience in strategic planning, corporate strategy, management consulting, or business development.
Experience leading programs and client executive relationships in cross-functional environments.

The pay range for this position is between $191,399 to $275,000 annually. Base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors including, but not limited to internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience. This range represents a good faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
