Overview
Mastercard’s Operational Intelligence (OI) team is building agentic AI and LLM-driven platforms to transform payment operations.
We are hiring a Director – AI Strategy & Product Management to lead strategy, product development, UX, and execution of enterprise AI products, including multi-agent systems, decision platforms, and autonomous workflows.
This is a hands-on 0→1 leadership role evolving into team and program leadership at scale.

Key Responsibilities
AI Strategy & Product Leadership
• Define agentic AI strategy and roadmap across OI
• Own 0→1→scale lifecycle (PRD → MVP → Production)
• Deliver AI products across reconciliation, disputes, and operations

Agentic Systems & Architecture Alignment
• Define product requirements for:
o Multi-agent systems (LangGraph, LangChain, etc.)
o Stateful workflows, guardrails, and HITL
• Partner with engineering on LLMs, RAG, Graph RAG, and MCP-based systems

Agentic UI/UX Design
• Design beyond chat UX:
o Structured workflows, dashboards, and controls
• Build:
o Trust layer (explainability, transparency)
o Control layer (HITL, overrides)
o Observability layer (agent actions, traces)

Program Office & Portfolio Management
• Establish and lead AI Program Office (PMO)
• Manage portfolio of AI products, platforms, and initiatives
• Drive prioritization, capacity planning, and executive reporting

POC & Experimentation Leadership
• Lead POC → MVP → Production pipeline
• Define success metrics (business + technical)
• Ensure scalable design and avoid “POC traps”

Data, Models & Platform Integration
• Drive integration of:
o LLMs (GPT, Claude, LLaMA, etc.)
o Enterprise data platforms
• Define requirements for:
o Retrieval (vector + graph)
o Memory systems (short/long-term, semantic, graph)

Observability, Governance & Evaluation
• Define frameworks for:
o Agent observability (AgentOps)
o Evaluation (accuracy, grounding, latency)
o Responsible AI and compliance

Business Impact & GTM
• Partner with engineering and commercial teams
• Drive product adoption, monetization, and ROI
• Track automation, cost savings, and revenue uplift

Qualifications
• 12–15+ years in AI/ML product management or technical strategy
• Proven experience building AI/GenAI products (0→1→scale)
• Strong understanding of:
o LLMs, RAG, Graph RAG, agentic systems
• Experience working closely with engineering on scalable platforms
Preferred: Payments, fintech, or operational intelligence experience
