Job Summary: This position is located in Washington, District of Columbia. The Director of Administration and Resource Management is responsible to the General Counsel and the Deputy General Counsels for developing, managing and directing comprehensive programs for management, administrative, budget, financial, personnel, IT improvement and information activities and operations, space utilization, records management and correspondence control for the Office of the General Counsel.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. Time in grade: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade to be considered for the next higher grade (e.g. one year at the GS-14 grade level for consideration for the GS-15 grade level). For the GS-15 level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-14 level) that demonstrates: GS-15: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service or equivalent responsibility in the private sector/pay systems that has equipped you to demonstrate all the following: Providing executive leadership and direction over the development of the long-range planning and evaluation systems. Designing and coordinating analytical studies and alternative solutions to facilitate final decisions on long range programs, goals, and objectives. Serving as a representative in conferences with officials and agencies to explain agency policies. Supervising the preparation and distribution of policy and procedures manual to keep current with laws and regulations that are updated regularly. Directing the standardization of procedures and specifications to ensure consistent, effective, and efficient control, storage, and retrieval of legal documents, case and matter tracking, and other related sources of information. Supervising administrative staff who work on human resources, records management, controlled correspondence, budget development and execution, financial management and space utilization. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
