Job Description Summary:
As Director, Accounting and Reporting, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the Coca-Cola Company's collection, consolidation and reporting of actual financial results and stewardship of the Company’s consolidation system.
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the global actual financial reporting process on a monthly and quarterly basis, which is the ultimate foundation of the Company’s internal and external financial reporting.
You will collaborate across geographies and functions, gaining exposure to the Company’s operations and building strong relationships across the organization. Your work will directly result in the Company’s financial statements and you will provide analysis that goes to senior leadership.
In this role, you will also act as a change agent by continuously evaluating processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and partnering with Technology and Finance teams to leverage new tools and capabilities to modernize and strengthen financial reporting.
This position is a people leader role with four direct reports. The role also leaders processes and initiatives involving teams throughout the Company.
External and Internal Financial Reporting
- Lead the global actuals financial close process directing four team members and coordinating with many other teams and leaders locally and internationally (ultimate end to end leadership of the close process)
- Lead the balance sheet and cash flow analysis and reporting process (manage the team as they do this versus contributing as an individual)
- Manage the presentation to the Controller and Investor Relations for quarterly insights on the balance sheet and cash flows
- Review and sign-off on information used in external reporting (Earnings Release, 10K, and 10Q)
- Lead global processes related to financial submissions for Corporate and field locations to ensure continuous improvement of the closing process (drive the process establishment and oversee the execution)
- Manage and support team as they perform reviews and provide accounting related guidance to field locations
- Proactively identify inefficiencies, risks, and manual activities within the close and reporting process, and lead initiatives to streamline, standardize, and automate processes where possible.
- Drive change management efforts related to enhancements in close processes, reporting requirements, and operating models, ensuring effective communication, adoption, and sustainability across global teams.
- Direct support to the Controller, Tax, Legal, Treasury, Accounting Research, and others throughout the actuals close process (direct interactions and support of the needs for these teams, both through self-execution and management of others completing the work)
- Champion the use of new and emerging technologies (e.g., automation, analytics, system enhancements) to improve efficiency, transparency, and insight in consolidation and reporting activities.
Consolidation System Stewardship
- Support the design, strategy, change management, and processes for the global consolidation system (with ownership and accountability of the process and the team executing it)
- Connect with cross functional teams including the Finance Hub, DTS and external consultants to plan and execute consolidation system changes as a response to changes to the Company’s business, new accounting guidance, changes in the Company’s control environment and new reporting needs.
People Management
- Team leadership and development activities. This position will have four direct reports, and this role will have leadership responsibilities during critical periods across a larger team (including management, coaching, development, and feedback activities)
- Lead teams through change by promoting a mindset of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation, and supporting the adoption of new processes, tools, and ways of working.
- Project leadership of key global initiatives including cross-functional teams within and outside the Controller’s Group
Experience Requirements
- Strong accounting and US GAAP knowledge mandatory with CPA preferred
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Financial analysis experience preferred

Pay Range:
$148,000 - $169,000
Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
