The Direct Sales Representative is responsible for driving growth, maximizing market share, and delivering an exceptional customer experience in a newly established territory. This role focuses on prospecting, developing long-term customer relationships, and supporting contractor, industrial, and municipal markets.

This individual will own the customer journey, from initial contact through the life of the equipment, by selling new products, promoting aftersales solutions, and providing ongoing technical support.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Growth

  • Prospect, develop, and close sales across target market segments.
  • Promote environmental equipment, parts, service programs, refurbishments, rentals, and training.
  • Conduct equipment demonstrations, presentations, quotes, and bids.
  • Recommend solutions by assessing customer fleets and operational needs.
  • Meet or exceed territory sales and profitability goals.

Customer Support

  • Serve as the customer’s primary contact through the entire equipment lifecycle.
  • Conduct follow-up visits to ensure satisfaction and identify new opportunities.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate equipment deliveries and provide onsite operation and maintenance training.

Collaboration & Administration

  • Partner with Regional Sales Managers to support territory objectives.
  • Document all activity, notes, quotes, and orders in Salesforce CRM.
  • Maintain accurate equipment records and required paperwork.
  • Uphold all safety, compliance, and company standards.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of sales, service, or equipment-related experience preferred.
  • Strong territory management, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
  • Working knowledge of G Suite and MS Office; other platforms a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and travel extensively.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. and Canada without sponsorship.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and alignment to IDEX values.

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $52,900.00 - $79,300.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
