Visual Digital Designer

Role Overview
The Visual Digital Designer owns the creation and evolution of high quality visual and digital design assets that support both customer facing materials and internal business needs across the department. This includes designing customer digital web assets (such as banners, widgets, and landing pages), email and newsletter layouts, presentation templates, internal landing pages, and training or enablement sites.

The role focuses on building scalable templates and reusable design components while ensuring strong brand consistency, quality, and efficient reuse across teams. The Visual Digital Designer partners closely with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and is expected to feel comfortable joining customer calls and communicating directly with customers when needed.

Key Responsibilities
Customer facing digital web assets

Design customer web assets including web banners, on site widgets, and landing pages or microsites.
Create responsive layouts and design variations for different placements, devices, and formats.
Deliver production ready design assets and specifications, including sizes, states, typography, spacing, and layout behavior.

Design to development collaboration

Work closely with the developer team to translate designs into high quality, built experiences.
Provide clear handoff documentation, assets, and component behavior guidance.
Participate in implementation reviews to ensure the final output aligns with design intent and quality standards.

Email and newsletters

Design email and newsletter layouts that follow brand, usability, and readability best practices.
Create reusable modules and templates to support efficient ongoing production.

Internal landing pages and training sites

Design and improve internal landing pages and training/enablement sites to support departmental education, adoption, and communications.

Department wide design support

Support department business teams with customer facing materials such as templates, collateral, and visual frameworks used in customer engagements.
Build and maintain reusable template systems (e.g., slide templates, modular sections, branded components) to enable consistency and scalability across teams.

Required Experience & Skills
Previous experience in a Visual Designer, Digital Designer, or similar role, with a portfolio demonstrating digital first outputs (web assets, email, landing pages, templates).
Strong command of core visual design fundamentals, including typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and brand consistency.
Proficiency with Figma, including components, shared libraries, and collaborative workflows.
Proven ability to collaborate cross functionally with developers and business stakeholders.
Comfortable presenting work, incorporating feedback, and aligning design solutions to business goals.
Customer facing confidence, including comfort joining customer calls and communicating professionally.

Nice to Have / Advantage
Familiarity with AI assisted design tools and/or AI powered Figma plugins to accelerate concepting, layout exploration, or asset generation.
Awareness of accessibility considerations in digital design (e.g., color contrast, structure, and readability).
Basic understanding of responsive and front end constraints to improve design to development handoff quality.
