Digital Producer/Digital Reporter

BigCountryHomepage.com (KTAB/KRBC) is seeking a driven, creative storyteller ready to work at the cutting edge of local media. As an award-winning team, we don’t follow trends—we set them. This role plays a key part in building original content for our growing CTV platform, KTAB+, and shaping the future of multi-platform storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce, shoot, and edit original content for KTAB+ and digital platforms, combining news and cinematic storytelling

• Shoot and edit content for both digital and broadcast platforms, ensuring consistency across all channels

• Execute on-location shoots, managing camera operation, lighting, and audio setup to ensure high production value

• Support live and recorded streaming productions, including platforms such as OBS

• Write and publish web stories that are clear, accurate, and engaging

• Identify, pitch, and develop local, enterprise, and trending story ideas

• Build and schedule digital campaigns that promote content and drive audience growth

• Leverage social platforms to extend reach and increase engagement

• Maintain high standards of journalistic integrity and production quality

• Collaborate across departments and step in wherever needed to support team success
   

Requirements & Skills

• Strong writing ability with a solid understanding of AP Style and digital storytelling principles

• Experience using WordPress or similar content management systems

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere and After Effects

• Familiarity with ENG/news and cinematic-style camera systems

• Understanding of live streaming workflows (OBS or similar), or willingness to learn

• Ability to manage time effectively and work under tight deadlines

• Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset

• Self-starter with a passion for innovation, storytelling, and evolving media platforms

• Maintain a positive work environment through active team participation and collaboration across departments

• Respond constructively to feedback and demonstrate a willingness to grow

• Performs other duties as assigned
