Job Title: Digital Network Exploitation Analyst (SME)

SUMMARY

As part of the Agile Defense team supporting the National Security Innovation Network (NSIN) and the Interagency Intelligence and Cyber Operations Network (ICON), you will work alongside government and industry partners to support cyber intelligence operations, digital network exploitation, and operational effectiveness across a diverse set of national security missions.
NSIN, a program office within the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), builds communities of innovators to develop solutions to national security challenges in support of the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, and other government organizations. Through ICON, NSIN delivers intelligence and cyber capabilities to a broad range of mission partners, including U.S. Cyber Command, Cyber Mission Forces, Combatant Commands, Intelligence Community organizations, and DoD components. In this role, you will directly support cyber intelligence and network exploitation activities contributing to mission execution across cyber intelligence operations, defensive and offensive cyber operations, and DoD information network operations.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provide subject matter expertise and technical guidance to support mission planning, execution, and analyst development.
· Conduct active and passive digital reconnaissance to identify network devices, services, protocols, and communication pathways.
· Map network topologies, infrastructure components, and data repositories to identify critical assets and mission dependencies.
· Document network architectures, configurations, and system relationships in support of exploitation planning and operational analysis.
· Identify, analyze, and assess network-based vulnerabilities, including software flaws, misconfigurations, and insecure or deprecated protocols.
· Evaluate risk and potential operational impact associated with identified vulnerabilities and network exposures.
· Research, analyze, and apply exploitation techniques for known vulnerabilities using industry-standard and mission-specific frameworks and tools.
· Provide recommendations on exploitation approaches, techniques, and tooling based on technical feasibility and mission objectives.
· Assist in the development and implementation of exploitation techniques to support operational planning and execution.
· Analyze SIGINT and cybersecurity data across multiple layers of the OSI model to inform network understanding and targeting decisions.
· Fuse all-source intelligence to evaluate target opportunities and support the development of detailed exploitation and operations plans.
· Collaborate with mission partners to deliver timely, accurate, and actionable intelligence products.

Education, Background, and Years of Experience

Minimum Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree and Twelve (12) years of experience
Relevant Experience: Seven (7) years of position-specific relevant experience

Education Equivalences:

High School + Sixteen (16) years of experience
Associate’s Degree + Fourteen (14) years of experience
Master’s Degree + Ten (10) years of experience
PhD + Eight (8) years of experience

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

· Professional experience supporting a military and/or government cryptologic mission.
· Experience acquiring, identifying, processing, and reporting on electromagnetic emissions as a military or government language or signals analyst.
· Demonstrated experience evaluating target opportunities using all-source intelligence to map networks and support exploitation planning.
· Proven ability to analyze SIGINT and cybersecurity data across multiple OSI network layers.
· Experience supporting or working with U.S. Navy or U.S. Cyber Command missions.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex technical findings to mission and leadership audiences.
· Ability to operate effectively in high-tempo, classified environments with minimal oversight.
