Job Summary: The Digital Content Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the development and day-to-day execution of digital and audio content for DenverBroncos.com, the Denver Broncos mobile app and Broncos social media channels. This position will contribute to: coordinating the team’s external audio partnership requiring weekly content support; creating and publishing editorial content, including but not limited to news and feature articles; providing on-camera support for analysis videos and podcasts; contributing to, editing and promoting podcast content, including social-first content; editing copy, including video and photo descriptions and photo captions; assisting with the execution of the editorial push notification calendar; collecting content for DenverBroncos.com and team channels; and assisting with the team’s printed publications.

Duties & Responsibilities

Creates, edits and publishes content to website and app by:

  • Writing articles for DenverBroncos.com, including but not limited to: feature stories, news stories and daily aggregation blogs
  • Publishing website content, including but not limited to: press releases, roster updates, player bios, videos, podcasts and photo galleries
  • Copy-editing articles and photo/video descriptions
  • Assisting with the execution of the content push notification process
  • Assisting with the content creation and editing process for printed publications

Coordinates audio content for social consumption & sponsor obligations by:

  • Coordinating annual audio partnership, including in-season tracking and weekly delivery of audio
  • Assisting in open locker room settings and press conferences by gathering audio
  • Creating and overseeing archive of interview and audio content
  • Selects and captions video clips from menu of podcast content for routine social distribution
  • Editing audio content for DenverBroncos.com and team’s YouTube channel
  • Coordinating guest booking for podcast network and conducting interviews with players, alumni and guests for improved audio content

Collects content for DenverBroncos.com and team channels by:

  • Conducting interviews with players, coaches and others for articles or other content
  • Covering team and organization events, including but not limited to practices, games and community and marketing events

Provides on-camera support for DenverBroncos.com and team channels by:

  • Appearing in analysis video content, as needed, surrounding home games and tentpole events (ie. free agency, NFL Draft)
  • Appearing on team-owned podcasts on a weekly basis

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or similar discipline
  • Minimum of three years’ experience as a student working for a college newspaper, television or radio station, website, college sports information, office or in a communications department of a sports organization or in the sports industry

Preferred Skills & Ability 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible/long hours (early mornings, late evenings, weekends, holidays)
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have experience writing with AP Style
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to self-edit
  • Experience in audio-editing software, including Adobe Audition/Premiere
  • Problem-solving skills, attention to detail and capacity to thrive in pressure situations
  • Highly motivated, organized, ability to take direction under deadlines
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Knowledge of the game of football (game rules, statistics, league trends)
  • Willingness to travel for potential work assignments, as needed

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary for this position is $53,000 - $60,000.
