Allied Health

Cabrini Allied Health comprises twelve professional groups and is a rapidly expanding, integrated service across the organisation. Allied Health at Cabrini offers a diverse range of opportunities, including senior consultant and leadership roles, clinical stream-based practice, junior staff rotation and support programs, professional development, research and teaching opportunities, and strong external partnerships. Allied Health–led research is supported by a dedicated Senior Allied Health Research Consultant.

The Role:

We are seeking a positive, flexible, and highly motivated Grade 1 Dietitian to work across Cabrini Health. This is a 0.8 FTE fixed-term position for 6 months (until 10 July 2026), providing maternity leave cover, with potential for extension.

This role is ideal for dietitians with some experience in an acute clinical setting across a variety of clinical areas; however, new graduate dietitians are also encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will work closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based clinical services that promote excellent patient outcomes, satisfaction, and staff engagement.

Key Capabilities

  • Dietitians Association of Australia member and have Accredited Practising Dietitian status (or demonstrated eligibility)

  • Post graduate experience in the acute healthcare setting is advantageous

  • Ability to consult and collaborate with others and work as an effective member of a team to deliver organisational outcomes.

  • Knowledge of the importance of and ability to seek and utilise evidence-based practice.

  • Commitment to continuing professional development

Key Selection Criteria

Experience and Qualifications

Essential:

  • Possess qualifications providing eligibility for full membership of Dietitians Australia (DA) and APD status (or show eligibility).

  • Knowledge of clinical dietetics role in a hospital setting

  • Excellent time management skills and high degree of flexibility

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and within a multidisciplinary team

  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills

  • High level of initiative and willingness to learn new skills

  • Current driver’s licence
