We are seeking an experienced DevOps Platform Senior Specialist to join our infrastructure team of DevOps Platform.
This role seeks an experienced engineer to manage Kubernetes clusters across OCI and Fury, supporting both on-prem and cloud environments using tools like Ansible, OCI-CLI, Helmfile, and Makefile. It also involves 24/7 on-call support for system availability.
What you'll do:
Kubernetes Cluster Operations
Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-level Kubernetes clusters across OCI cloud and on-premise Fury environments.
Build and maintain automated deployment workflows using Ansible for on-prem, and OCI-CLI, Helmfile, and Makefile for cloud automation.
Continuously tune cluster setups to ensure high performance, security compliance, and optimal resource consumption.
Infrastructure Monitoring & Observability
Set up and maintain end-to-end monitoring using the kube-prometheus-stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager).
Manage centralized logging with Fluent Bit and OpenSearch to support deep log analysis.
Configure log forwarding to Splunk and integrate Alertmanager for proactive incident detection and alerts.
Security & Access Management
Define and implement RBAC policies to support secure access for development teams.
Enforce secure access standards and maintain alignment with organizational security guidelines.
Detect, assess, and respond to platform vulnerabilities and security risks.
Troubleshooting & Performance Optimization
Diagnose and resolve advanced issues spanning clusters, services, and networking layers.
Perform root-cause analysis to address performance issues, system failures, and disruptions.
Champion continuous improvement efforts to enhance platform stability, reliability, and resilience.
Automation & Tooling
Manage and optimize the full infrastructure toolchain, including Nginx Ingress Controller, OpenSearch, Fluent Bit/Fluentd, Dynatrace, Splunk, Logging Operator, Prometheus stack, KEDA, and Cluster Autoscaler on OCI.
Develop and enhance automation scripts using Bash, Ansible, Python, and OCI-CLI.
Apply Infrastructure-as-Code practices to ensure reproducible and consistent deployments.
Incident Response & On-Call Support
Participate in a structured 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incident response.
Provide rapid intervention during outages, security events, or system degradation.
Document incidents and actively contribute to post-incident analysis and improvements.
What You’ll Bring
At least 2 years of experience in similar roles.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
OCI and CKA certifications are a plus.
Strong expertise in Kubernetes architecture, deployments, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency with: OCI-CLI, Helm, Helmfile, Makefile, Kustomize, Ansible, Python.
Solid experience with observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Fluent Bit, OpenSearch, Splunk, Alertmanager.
Strong Linux administration, Bash scripting, and networking fundamentals.
Good understanding of RBAC, security best practices, and log aggregation.
Familiarity with Dynatrace (preferred).
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex, containerized environments.
Comfortable participating in 24/7 on-call rotations.
A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a proactive attitude.
Proficiency in English; Italian is a plus.
