ClarioClinical

Devops Lead Engineer

India Remote Full time

At Clario, we build and operate technology platforms that support critical clinical research and help bring life-changing therapies to patients faster. As a DevOps Lead Engineer, you will define and lead the DevOps strategy for our mobile engineering ecosystem, ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable delivery of Android and iOS applications. You will combine deep hands-on expertise with technical leadership, working closely with mobile engineers, QA, security, and product teams to optimize delivery pipelines and improve developer experience.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation

  • Comprehensive health insurance coverage for employees and dependents

  • Paid time off and company holidays

  • Professional development and continuous learning opportunities

What You'll Be Doing

Own and evolve the end-to-end DevOps pipeline for a .NET MAUI mobile application shipping to Android and iOS. This includes the full delivery lifecycle, from commit to store, and extends into production reliability through SRE practices like synthetic monitoring and alerting.

  • Design and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines using YAML-based build definitions, covering build, test, sign, and release stages for both platforms

  • Own mobile release automation including versioning, code signing, provisioning profiles, certificates, and keystores, through to App Store and Google Play submission

  • Implement and maintain secrets management across pipelines in line with security and compliance standards

  • Define and enforce quality gates, integrating automated testing, coverage thresholds, and release criteria directly into pipeline stages

  • Build and maintain synthetic monitors and alerting to proactively detect degradation in build systems, release pipelines, and production app health

  • Optimize build performance and developer workflow to reduce cycle time and increase engineering throughput

  • Lead the DevOps team, setting technical direction, establishing standards, and driving engineering excellence by championing automation, reducing toil, and continuously raising the quality bar across build and release pipelines

  • Grow the team's technical capability through hands-on coaching and clear documentation standards

  • Evaluate and pilot AI-assisted tooling across the delivery pipeline, including areas like automated code review, test generation, and anomaly detection in build and release systems

  • Partner with mobile engineering, QA, security, and product to keep delivery practices aligned with team goals

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years in DevOps, release engineering, or build engineering, with meaningful time spent on mobile delivery

  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining GitLab CI pipelines (YAML-based) for Android and iOS targets

  • Working knowledge of .NET build toolchains and the ability to troubleshoot Android and iOS build issues in a CI context

  • Experience with secrets management solutions (Vault, cloud-native secret managers, or equivalent) and mobile signing infrastructure

  • Hands-on experience with observability and SRE practices, including synthetic monitoring, alerting strategy, and SLOs, using tools such as Dynatrace, Sentry, or Datadog

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a DevOps team, setting culture, not just process

  • Strong scripting ability in Bash, Python, or similar for automation and pipeline tooling

  • Track record of driving technical decisions across team boundaries with clarity and buy-in

  • Working knowledge of Docker, particularly in the context of containerized device testing and CI build environments

  • Remote-friendly with optional hybrid in Bangalore
