DevOps Engineer

You will join the team responsible for the design, delivery, and maintenance of scalable infrastructure and automation pipelines that support QRT’s trading platform and technology teams. This role combines infrastructure engineering with software development, with a focus on improving reliability, streamlining workflows, and delivering self-service tooling for engineering and market access teams. This role provides the opportunity to set standards across teams and improve both system reliability and developer productivity.

Your future role within QRT

  • Design and implement internal tooling and infrastructure to support scalable and reliable engineering workflows

  • Build and automate CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and release processes

  • Manage environment provisioning, upgrades, and migrations across hybrid environments

  • Partner with software engineers to ensure production readiness and support development best practices

  • Build APIs and tools that reduce error rates and streamline platform interaction

  • Integrate internal systems and improve automation across platform components

  • Improve observability through better monitoring, alerting, and documentation (e.g. runbooks)

Your present skillset

  • Experience managing infrastructure in hybrid environments (on-prem and AWS)

  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred) and core AWS services (EC2, VPC, load balancing)

  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or OpenTofu

  • Proficiency with scripting in Windows and Linux environments

  • Strong Python programming skills

  • Experience with Git workflows and version control practices

  • Working knowledge of C or C++ build processes (Make, CMake)

  • Experience operating within a mature CI/CD environment is highly desirable

  • Understanding of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Splunk, or Coralogix

  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on automation and operational excellence

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
