Base salary will be in the range $83,776.44 – $93,121.41 + 17% super (HEW Level 5)

As a Development Officer, you will play a purposeful role in supporting the delivery of externally funded international development projects within UQ International Development (UQID), a key unit of Global Partnerships in the Global Engagement Portfolio. Working in a collaborative, globally connected environment, you will provide high-level project and administrative support that enables UQ to partner effectively with governments, organisations and communities across the Indo‑Pacific and beyond, contributing to meaningful and sustainable development outcomes.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supporting the full project lifecycle, including planning, delivery, monitoring and evaluation activities to ensure successful project outcomes.
Coordinating project documentation and agreements in line with UQID standards and head contract requirements.
Organising and supporting project-related activities, events, consultations and meetings, including logistics, reporting and internal communications.
Providing comprehensive project and office administration, including data management, financial administration support and stakeholder liaison.

A degree or diploma in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training.
Well-developed organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines with minimal supervision.
High attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to follow policies and procedures while exercising initiative.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining accountability for individual responsibilities.
Experience working in a project-based or administrative support role, ideally within a complex organisation.
High-level proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, with experience using project management and information systems considered an advantage.
Knowledge of the higher education sector and/or international development is desirable.
