Would you like to progress your career in an Agile department that is taking serious steps to make our organization more data driven?
Interested to hold a key-role within our Central Data & Analytics Department and be part of its staff?

We’ll give you the opportunity to:
Work in a highly motivated, global team of Data enthusiasts.
Be co-responsible for the overall vision and delivery of the Analytical Products and Services the department provides to the Vanderlande organization.
Be part of a team that plays a vital role in the further development of Vanderlande.
Your responsibilities
In the role of People Development Manager, you will be responsible for building and supporting our development teams. You will work closely together with local HR Advisors, Recruitment and Learning staff and drive our department’s expansion by raising any staffing and competence needs and recruiting and fostering the right talent, and by keeping our Developers happy and motivated.
You will act as a line manager for the Developers located in your region, supporting them in their personal development and coaching them on their performance. In summary, you will drive our success through influence, not through authority.
You will act as and work closely with our Scrum Masters, ensuring that the development teams can deliver efficiently. By establishing clear communication processes between teams and stakeholders, and promoting open and honest feedback, you create alignment on all sorts of topics. You will facilitate teamwide events such as the Sprint retrospective and PI week and, if needed, coach individuals and teams to facilitate adoption and improvement in agile methodologies and principles.
You facilitate collaboration and partnership across data focused teams and stakeholders around topics like data literacy and traineeships. They are involved in marketing and communication efforts that promote the value of data and analytics. Understanding that for Vanderlande to become data driven, change management is crucial.
Your department
The Central Data & Analytics department provides Data Analytics products and services to the entire Vanderlande Organization (mainly internal customers). It is a franchise organization, meaning that we centrally set a standard, which is adopted and implemented by decentralized franchises within the business.
The core product we work on is the Vanderlande Data Platform, on which we provide Data Products for our customers to leverage. By transforming, processing, combining and enriching data available in source systems we provide a valuable source of truth. To enable our customers to Analyze and Visualize the provided data, we maintain the Vanderlande Qlik Servers and Power BI capacity, while facilitating templates, a clear way of working and a community of experts.
We excel in and foster knowledge on the application of advanced analytics techniques and the underlying technology.
Our department functions as a scaled Agile organization with different development teams working off the same backlog, working to realize a shared roadmap. However, by focusing on certain parts of the Vanderlande business we can effectively leverage business knowledge.
We work in close cooperation with other IT & Technology departments.
