We are looking for a Development Manager to join our team based in Melbourne. This is a diverse role which will see you working predominately on the Gurrowa Place (Queen Victoria Market) Development. Gurrowa Place encompasses three responsively designed buildings that will form a mixed-use precinct offering a diverse range of high-quality housing, including amenity-rich build-to-rent apartments, affordable housing, heritage building restoration, 1.8 hectares of new public open space and purpose-built student accommodation (by Scape).
As Development Manager your key responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the preparation and management of development briefs and programs, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of a high-quality product.
Preparation and administration of legal documentation, including Development Agreements, Investor agreements, consultant agreements, and construction contracts.
Management of stakeholder relationships, including landowners, investors, consultants, and contractors, to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Monitoring the project feasibility, identifying risks and opportunities and developing strategies to pursue and manage these respectively
Providing regular commercial and project reporting, including program updates, internal reporting, and cost analysis.
Driving planning approvals, design development, and construction phases to meet quality and compliance standards.
About You:
We are looking for a collaborative individual who has a background in Development Management, ideally residential. You will also have:
Tertiary qualifications in Property, Business, Project / Construction Management, Design, Engineering, or another relevant field, combined with Development Management experience
Strong commercial acumen
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Strong attention to detail, ability to learn quickly and work with complexity
