The Designer, National Visual Merchandising supports the development and execution of visual merchandising across all stores, delivering elevated, consistent, and brand-aligned experiences. This role spans concept development through to final installation, with clear ownership of design outputs including renders, production files, props, and in-store execution.
This role partners cross-functionally to translate creative direction into scalable, production-ready solutions, ensuring consistency across locations while adapting for flagship and regional store strategies.
Specific responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
Support the development of creative concepts for seasonal campaigns, windows, and in-store environments
Produce high-quality renders, floorplans, and presentation materials for internal and executive alignment
Translate concepts into clear visual merchandising directives, including rollout packages with renders and diagrams
Interpret and adapt design concepts across store formats, scaling based on budget and store tier (flagship vs regional)
Partner with Creative Services graphic designers to prepare production-ready artwork and files, by providing print specifications, scaling, and material selection
Support window prop production, sourcing, and setup requirements from a technical aspect
Produce technical drawings and 3D models for vendor production
Ensure all outputs meet brand standards and are optimized for production feasibility
Manage multiple concurrent projects in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Track milestones and timelines across campaigns and installations in partnership with the team
Oversee installation execution, including on-site quality control and troubleshooting where required
Provide support for after-hours or overnight installations as needed
Own and lead design feasibility, partnering with internal teams and external vendors to validate fixture capacity, VM guideline alignment, and production requirements• Build strong vendor relationships to support quality and efficiency
Develop render packages and visual documentation to support executive approvals and drive consistent execution across all store locations
Provide support on project budgets and operational tracking, including vendor coordination as needed
Maintain and update all applicable store fixture drawings and information, including construction drawings and engineer certifications
Keep evergreen all store locations as 2D/3D models
Understand municipal regional and provincial building maintenance requirements and provide guidance to team to ensure compliance (e.g. fire codes and safety)
Build strong working relationships and communicate effectively across internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless execution and resolve challenges
Complies with all Health & Safety policies and requirements
The ideal candidate:
Post-secondary degree in Industrial Design, Interior Design, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years related project experience
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp; additional 3D software is an asset
Knowledge in creative design software like Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Figma, Affinity is an asset
Extensive experience with an excellent track record in delivering on planning, design and execution
Strong project management, organizational, and detail-oriented skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Deep appreciation for luxury retail, craftsmanship, and elevated aesthetic standards
Some travel required
