Job Description: 

As a Design Transfer Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering department within Operations at our PSX HQ site in Uppsala, reporting to the Manager Design Transfer. The Design Transfer Engineer coordinates design transfer activities in NPI projects and change control activities, ensuring efficient and compliant transfer of new or modified products from development to supply chain. 
 
They act both as an operational design transfer engineer and as a coordinator between multiple teams, driving successful implementation of manufacturing method and product readiness. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as an operational design transfer engineer in NPI projects 
  • Lead and coordinate design transfer activities and act as SME within smaller projects or during change management of existing products, in accordance with internal processes 
  • Coordinate and collect information between cross-functional teams and departments 
  • Prioritize effectively based on company goals and key performance indicators 
  • Contribute to essential activities such as process development, qualification and validation, creation of manufacturing methods, and setup of article structures (e.g. Bill of Materials) 
  • Actively contribute to the improvement and development of work processes within the design transfer area 
  • Participate in risk assessments for projects, processes, and products 
  • Report project status and communicate obstacles and delays to the manager and relevant stakeholders 
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Engineering department 

Qualifications: 

  • BSc or MSc in Life Science or equivalent 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in design transfer, product development, or a related field within Life Science 
  • Proven experience working in or coordinating cross-functional projects is advantageous 
  • Experience from a coordinating role (e.g. as design transfer engineer or activity leader) 
  • ERP system experience 
  • Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English is a requirement
