The Role
The seating team is seeking motivated engineers to support the next generation of complex systems within our group. Electrifying the future will include a seating system that will provide the passenger a tailored experience based on preference. A vehicle seat is the source of the largest physical connection between the car and driver!
The Seat Complete Design Release Engineer is the primary face of Seat Engineering for an assigned specific vehicle program to broader organization & supply base and leads row(s) of Seat System solutions.
At this level you are expected to operate with a high level of independent discernment and are typically responsible for implementing functional strategy, administering and coordinating programs, counseling and advising management.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
As a Seating Engineer, you will develop and integrate a seat that will exceed expectations in the overall customer experience
Design, develop, and implement technical seating systems solution
Perform engineering design evaluations. May develop a range of products
Utilize engineering tools and processes to successfully develop components and system programs
Optimally achieve program milestones by detailed and thorough program management
You will perform multiple tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
BS in Engineering
2+ years of relevant engineering experience
Demonstrated experience in automotive or aerospace seating engineering, including design, development, validation, and integration of seating systems.
Strong understanding of seat structures, mechanisms, comfort/performance requirements, safety regulations, and material selection.
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
5+ years of post-graduation engineering experience
