Support the MLRO in managing the Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) framework across the firm’s UK and EMEA operations. Act as the deputy point of contact for regulatory matters and ensure robust controls for AML, sanctions, anti-bribery & corruption, and fraud risk management. Provide oversight, advice, and challenge to the business to maintain compliance with UK and EU regulations.

How you'll spend your time...

  • Financial Crime Oversight Assist in maintaining and enhancing AML, sanctions, anti-bribery & corruption, and fraud policies and procedures. Support risk assessments and control testing across business lines. Oversee transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and escalation of suspicious activity.

  • Regulatory Engagement Act as deputy liaison with UK regulators (FCA) and other relevant authorities. Prepare and review regulatory reports, including SARs, ensuring timely submission. Comment on regulatory development and guidance and provide insight to Head Office and the first line on regulatory focus and activities.

  • Monitoring & Reporting Monitor FCP compliance arrangements, industry developments and liaison with the Business lines to ensure the implementation of appropriate controls to mitigate the risk of the use of the firm’s systems for financial crime. Provide oversight of relevant Operating Group’s policies and procedures through ongoing monitoring.

  • Advisory & Governance Provide subject matter expertise on AML, sanctions, bribery & corruption, and fraud. Advise on new products, services, and distribution channels from a financial crime perspective.

  • Training & Awareness Deliver training and guidance to staff on financial crime risks and regulatory obligations.

  • Deputising Act as MLRO delegate when required, ensuring continuity of responsibilities.


To be successful in this role you will have...

  • Strong knowledge of UK and EU AML regulations, FCA requirements, and asset management industry best practice.

  • Expertise in AML, sanctions, anti-bribery & corruption, and fraud.

  • Experience in financial crime frameworks, risk assessments, and regulatory reporting.

  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide effective challenge.

  • Financial Crime expertise gained in the Asset Management industry. 

  • Professional qualifications (e.g., ICA Diploma in AML or Financial Crime) preferred.
