Role Overview:
As a Depot Operations Manager, you will enjoy the following benefits:

Responsibilities of a Depot Operations Manager include:
- Monitor and review the team’s performance, tackling and addressing training issues and performance managing quickly effectively. Keeping in line with business procedures to ensure the highest possible standards are maintained.
- Fully accountable for the quality and productivity of personal and team activity, meeting agreed target levels.
- Motivate staff and hold regular monthly meetings with all staff and produce minutes of these meetings.
- To ensure all vehicles are maintained in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations, they are roadworthy and operate within legal requirements e.g., payload, tachograph, etc.
- Establish and maintain personnel files for all RDC staff and ensure records and information are kept up to date.
- Ensure drivers are instructed in all aspects of the operation and vehicles including procedures, quality, and security.
- There will be a requirement to cover the delivery routes for staff holidays and absences as well as ad hoc volume drops.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Hold a current full driving license with no more than 6 minor offence penalty points.
- Be organized and flexible in approach to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Smart personal appearance is essential.
- Have knowledge of tachograph and drivers’ hours regulations.
- You will be required to complete a CRB check.
- This job requires regular contact with the company’s customer base. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Team orientated.
- Ability to integrate data and utilize MS tools
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team while maintaining high employee morale.
- Experience working within a budgetary environment.
