Dental Assistant to provide advanced chair side procedures in four handed dental treatment in a dental program that serves adults and children with developmental disabilities in the Nisonger Center Dental Program performs chair side procedures provides assistance to the dentist dental residents and students provides indirect patient treatment maintains inventory of supplies and materials maintains equipment performs general clerical and outreach tasks. Provide advanced chair side procedures in four handed dental treatment alongside the Dentist in Operating Room procedures; will travel to Boundless and Johnstown Road clinics locations to provide contractual services on behalf of program.

Provides indirect assistance, such as obtaining medical histories; takes blood pressure; takes and develops X rays; instructs oral hygiene; prepares instrument trays; prepares models from impressions; Maintains inventory of dental operatory supplies and materials; maintains equipment; autoclaves instruments; Provides back-up for general clerical tasks; monitors fee payments and billing information; makes appointments, and other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be preferred. Dental X-Ray Machine Operator permit from the Ohio State Dental Board. 1 year of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.  MUST PASS HEALTH STANDARDS AND REQUIREMENTS PRESCRIBED BY LAW PRIOR TO APPOINTMENT (e.g., hepatitis, vaccination series, and TB test). Positions performing radiography must be registered with the Ohio Dental Board as a Dental Assistant Radiographer.
