Job Description

Integrated Business Planning (IBP) brings together forecasting and planning across marketing, sales, finance, procurement, manufacturing, and customer service into a unified process. This integration ensures alignment across the enterprise, leading to superior customer outcomes.

As the Demand Planning Director, you will lead and inspire a high-performing team of demand planners accountable for translating complex demand signals into actionable forecasts and plans. You will set the direction for forecasting strategy and collaborate cross‑functionally with Commercial, Procurement, Data Science, Finance, and IBP leaders to align demand planning with Agilent’s strategic objectives. This role is a key contributor to Agilent’s Ignite transformation and will directly influence the company’s ability to operate with resilience and confidence across changing market conditions.

Principle Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of demand planners across multiple geographies and product lines, accountable for ensuring accurate analysis of product demand, prediction of future needs, and creation of demand schedules.
  • Direct the forecasting strategies and collaborate with Commercial teams, Procurement, Data Scientists, Finance, and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process owners to ensure alignment of demand planning with business objectives.
  • Oversee presentation of IBP deviations, forecast consumption and plan attainment in demand review forums
  • Drive forecast consensus between functional experts, actions for improvements and stakeholder communications.
  • Drive conflict resolution when there is misalignment of plans.
  • Regular interaction with senior and executive leaders within your organization as well as in other functions.
  • Apply in-depth understanding of organizational strategy and priorities to identify focus areas, outline project plans and align subordinate team expertise and resources.
  • Build and develop members of demand planning team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience formally or informally leading people, projects and/or programs.
  • Extensive knowledge and specialized expertise in sales, marketing, or finance; strong preference for experience in forecasting or planning.
  • Strong executive presence and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess complex business problems and deliver impactful results.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with different levels of management.
  • Self-motivated and capable of operating independently.

Additional Details

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $143,760.00 - $269,550.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
