The Team:

You will also partner with Demand Generation professionals who possess deep capital and credit markets  from across other S&P Global divisions to drive alignment, share best practices, and foster cross-divisional collaboration.

The Role:

This strategic role drives revenue growth through the design and execution of sophisticated marketing initiatives that generate high-quality leads and accelerate customer acquisition across our product portfolio. You'll leverage data-driven insights combined with deep customer and market intelligence to ensure marketing initiatives deliver exceptional customer-centricity and market relevance. In this role, you'll develop structured, scalable customer journey frameworks that serve as the foundation for demand generation activities while establishing and maintaining key performance indicators to track customer progression through the marketing funnel. As a recognized subject matter expert, you'll partner strategically with sales and marketing teams to ensure seamless campaign execution and collaborate with digital channel teams to deliver consistent, optimized customer experiences. You'll work closely with demand generation team members to drive scalability and automation through innovative AI and marketing technology solutions.

Your impact extends beyond individual campaign performance - you'll take an enterprise perspective in designing demand generation strategies that directly influence lead generation and customer acquisition outcomes. Through strategic partnerships with sales, product, and marketing teams across the commercial organization, you'll drive measurable demand for our solutions in key markets. Your expertise in customer journey optimization and marketing analytics will significantly improve conversion rates and overall marketing performance, with success measured by revenue growth sourced and influenced through marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage data-driven insights combined with deep customer and market intelligence to anticipate customer needs and ensure marketing initiatives deliver exceptional customer-centricity

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, and Research to align marketing efforts with business objectives

  • Measure campaign effectiveness through comprehensive analytics and reporting

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and thought leaders

The Ideal candidate will be highly skilled at:

  • Customer-Centricity: Be able to think as our customers do and create demand generation marketing initiatives that truly address customer needs

  • Extensive knowledge of the debt capital markets and ratings market (both public and private markets) from both an issuer and investor perspective across all asset classes (both public and private markets) and knowledge of the sustainable bond market and products relevant to that market.

  • Campaign Management: Designing and optimizing multi-channel marketing campaigns (e.g., email, social media, content marketing, paid advertising).

  • Customer Journey Mapping: Experience in customer journey mapping to orchestrate marketing campaigns leading to demand generation

  • Lead Generation: Developing tactics to attract and convert leads, including nurturing campaigns and funnel optimization.

  • Analytics and Reporting: Analyzing campaign performance metrics to assess effectiveness and ROI and making data-driven recommendations for future initiatives.

  • Collaboration: Working closely with sales, campaign, events and product marketing, and other teams to ensure alignment and support for lead conversion efforts.

  • AI: Think creatively around AI use cases to increase customer centricity, efficiency and impact.

What We're Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred. A degree in Marketing would be an advantage but not essential.

  • Experience: An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 7 years of experience in sales or revenue/demand generation roles with deep knowledge of the sales funnel.

  • Sales, Relationship Management and/or Marketing experience in capital markets

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with marketing automation tools (e.g. Marketo) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).

  • AI: Experience with AI tools which may be leveraged for marketing purposes

  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and presentation. Communicates with authenticity and clarity and acts upon data-informed intuition.

  • Creative Thinking: Ability to develop innovative marketing strategies and campaigns.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working collaboratively across departments, including sales, product development, and senior leadership.

  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions and business needs. You will demonstrate the ability to make difficult decisions and adapt to changing circumstances.

  • Role models fostering inclusivity, managing emotion and bias when approaching situations to land the best outcome for the business and those involved. 

Compensation/Benefits Information for NYC applicants: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $147,790 - $157,546, depending on location, experience, and skills. This role is eligible for an annual incentive plan and additional S&P Global benefits.
