RIS I is the delivery of regional IT services to the end user. We offer support of end user devices including desktop, workplace peripherals, and voice and video devices. We support local and campus area networks, including wireless and cable plant.

AT&T is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Delivery Truck Driver: To join our Supply Chain team supporting a large government contract. As a Delivery Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting critical equipment and materials to various sites, ensuring timely and secure deliveries across multiple locations. Your role is essential to our mission, supporting seamless operations for government customers across the region.

Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities: This position requires office presence a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

Safe and Timely Deliveries:

  • Deliver equipment and materials from the Columbia warehouse to destinations including Fort Meade, Virginia, Washington, DC, and other regional locations as needed. Adhere to all scheduled delivery times and flexible itineraries.

Route and Hub Management:

  • Make hub-to-hub deliveries across multiple campuses; adapt to flexible and changing routes as necessary to meet operational demands.

Vehicle Operation:

  • Safely operate up to a 26ft box truck, ensuring compliance with all Department of Transportation (DoT) regulations and AT&T safety standards.

Loading and Unloading:

  • Utilize a pallet jack to efficiently load and unload shipments; properly secure loads to prevent damage and maintain safety during transit.

Inventory Management:

  • Use an Inventory Management System to track shipments, record deliveries, and maintain accurate documentation. Employ basic computer skills for data entry and communication.

Customer Service:

  • Communicate professionally with team members, site staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Maintain a clean driving record and exceptional character. Follow all DoT requirements for commercial driving, including proper documentation, inspection procedures, and reporting.

Equipment Care:

  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly to ensure the truck remains in top operating condition.

Required Qualifications: Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Proven experience operating box trucks up to 26ft in length.
  • Demonstrated ability to use a pallet jack for loading and unloading.
  • Experience with delivery routes in the MD, VA, and DC area is a plus.

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to use an Inventory Management System and basic computer applications for tracking and reporting.

Licensing:

  • Valid driver’s license required; Class A license preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must meet all DoT requirements for commercial driving.

Character and Safety:

  • Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safety and professionalism.
  • Exceptional character, reliability, and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to safely secure and manage loads for transport.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move packages and equipment as needed.
  • Able to perform duties in a variety of weather and driving conditions.

Our Delivery Truck Driver (Log II) (Government) earns between $74,100 - $91,600 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
