A Brief Summary of This Position:
The Delivery Performance Manager is responsible for driving on-time delivery performance by ensuring strong execution, visibility, and accountability across the final stages of order fulfillment. This role leads efforts to eliminate delays, improve process flow, and ensure past due and at-risk orders are actively managed to completion. This position combines operational leadership with hands-on engagement to create a predictable, high-performing delivery system.
This is an on-site professional exemption salaried position.
Starting pay range (LG40): $89,200 - $111,660
Essential Functions:
Own overall delivery performance for the facility, with a focus on past due and at-risk orders
Establish and maintain visibility to order status, including progress, constraints, and risks
Lead efforts to identify and eliminate barriers preventing on-time shipment
Drive cross-functional accountability across production, planning, quality, and shipping teams
Implement and manage tools and processes that provide real-time insight into order status
Develop and standardize processes to improve last-mile execution and reduce delays
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to delivery and drive continuous improvement
Escalate critical risks and performance gaps to leadership with recommended actions
Lead and support roles such as PDI Dispatchers or similar resources (if applicable)
This position reports to the Senior Plant Manager and may have direct or indirect reports
Other Important Details about the Role:
Acts as the central point of ownership for delivery performance within the operation
Balances strategic process improvement with daily operational execution
Requires frequent presence on the production floor to ensure alignment and progress
Drives a culture of urgency, accountability, and follow-through
Partners closely with site leadership to align priorities and remove systemic barriers
Focuses on improving predictability and consistency of operational performance
Not a customer-facing or order entry role; focus is internal execution and performance
Required Qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
Preferred Bachelors with 6+ years relevant experience or Associates Degree with 8+ years relevant experience or 10+ years of relevant experience.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive results
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on root cause resolution
Demonstrated ability to influence and drive accountability without direct authority
Strong organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication and leadership presence across all levels of the organization
Experience working with ERP systems and operational reporting tools
Ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable improvements
Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and continuous improvement mindset
Highly Qualified Candidates Will Also Possess These Qualifications
Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Experience implementing process improvements or operational tools preferred
Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or Six Sigma principles preferred
Working Environment and Physical Efforts:
Work is performed in a combination of office and production floor environments. The role requires frequent movement throughout the facility, including walking, standing, and engaging directly with operational teams. The environment is fast-paced and requires adaptability to shifting priorities and operational demands. The employee may occasionally lift up to 15 pounds and must follow proper ergonomic practices when working at a computer workstation.
