What You Will Do:

Reporting to the Director of Editorial & Content, the Defense & Security Content Lead will develop and manage integrated content strategies focused on thought leadership and marketing collateral to support targeted, multi-channel marketing campaigns for the Defense & Security marketing team. This role will collaborate closely with the Defense & Security Marketing Director and team, as well as segment, sales, and corporate leaders, to create compelling content that elevates Guidehouse’s brand and drives engagement with key audiences across defense, intelligence, and national security sectors.

The Defense & Security Content Lead will oversee messaging and publishing calendars for earned, sponsored, and self-published content in alignment with enterprise content strategy and campaign objectives. This professional will ensure content is leveraged across blogs, white papers, case studies, marketing collateral, social media, newsletters, webinars, and paid media to maximize reach and impact.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and edit high-quality thought leadership pieces, including white papers, blogs, op-eds, case studies, and executive viewpoints.

  • Create marketing collateral such as service sheets, campaign assets, and sales enablement materials tailored to Defense & Security priorities.

  • Collaborate with marketing colleagues on integrated campaigns, social media content, and newsletters.

  • Lead Defense & Security Editorial Board of segment leaders, presenting strategic content ideas and aligning with business objectives.

  • Manage content calendars and ensure timely delivery across multiple channels.

  • Partner with subject matter experts to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling narratives.

  • Monitor and report on content performance metrics, including engagement and lead generation.

  • Present updates to editorial boards and provide guidance to internal teams on leveraging content effectively.

  • Offer strategic, innovative ideas to enhance content impact and alignment with campaign goals.


What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.

  • 6+ years of marketing and communications experience, preferably in defense, security, or government sectors.

  • Proven success in developing thought leadership and marketing collateral for integrated campaigns.

  • Outstanding writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences.

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills across multiple teams and levels, including experience working with executives.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, and social media publishing solutions.

  • Highly motivated, innovative, and results-driven professional with strong project management skills.
