The Disney Decision Science and Integration (DDSI) is The Walt Disney Company’s center of excellence for developing and deploying innovative analytics that supports decision-making for client organizations across The Walt Disney Company (TWDC), including Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (e.g., ABC, ESPN, FX, Studio Entertainment, Disney Theatrical Group) and Disney Experiences. To drive business value through decision-shaping analytics, DDSI leverages technology, optimization, simulation, statistics, and machine learning models to explore opportunities and deploy new analytical capabilities.
The Decision Science Product team within DDSI is looking for an intern who will give to a highly skilled team of experts across business and technical domains. This role will conduct analysis across the media landscape to inform decisions relevant to our client’s organization and processes. The intern will work closely with our Product Development and Operational Support teams, while getting exposure to our clients, vendors, and internal TWDC teams such as Decision Science, Data Integration, and various segment-specific analytics and technology groups.
The approximate dates of this internship are June to December 2026.
The intern will be data-driven and business-minded and will be passionate about solving business questions through data analysis. In this position, you will transform data into relevant business insights. The role will include working with analytically minded peers, where you are encouraged to contribute to and challenge the current knowledge base. You should enjoy connecting with your teammates and leadership to brainstorm ways to better support business decisions, build data visualization dashboards, and perform data analysis to explain patterns and provide recommendations.
As an intern, you will make an impact by:
Working in SQL/Python to extract data for analysis, maintain analytical models, and validate our results against relevant benchmarks.
Applying Tableau/Streamlit to deliver accurate, clear, concise insights and visualizations.
Handling smaller-scale projects crafted to provide us with actionable insights for internal teams and external partners.
Contributing to deliverables that will drive value through their integration into larger processes.
Conducting data preparation, exploration, and validation.
Collaborating with leadership on tasks, prioritization, and decision-making.
Being a problem solver; when presented with new challenges, think critically about the business problem, and recommend solutions to leadership.
Researching relevant analytics techniques and industry subject matter areas.
Facilitating the creation and maintenance of accurate analytic/business process documentation.
Proficient in scripting and data processing (SQL, Python) and data visualization (Tableau/Streamlit)
Familiarity with basic data science methodologies (e.g. forecasting, machine learning, optimization, etc.)
Ability to build relationships and partner with both technical and non-technical teams
Confirmed excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of basic database structure
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Strong attention to detail
Ability to balance multiple priorities and adapt to a constantly evolving business environment
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Currently enrolled as a graduate level student, pursuing a graduate degree in an analytical field including Computer Science, Computer Programming, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or other related quantitative fields at an accredited college or university.
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
The approximate dates of this program are June 2026 to December 2026
Able to have reliable transportation to/from work and provide own housing
Fully available from Monday-Friday for the duration of the position, 40 hours per week
