The PwC People in Deals team is seeking a motivated and analytical junior resource to join our expanding team. This role offers hands‑on exposure to the world of mergers and acquisitions. Our teams core focus is on due diligence, value creation, and integration / separation projects. We look at workforce analytics, organisational insights, and people‑related risk identifiers, including the financial quantifications of the workforce. The ideal candidate is interested in workforce and organisational dynamics, with a keen interest in understanding how people practices shape business performance.

· Supporting the delivery of human capital analysis across due diligence, value creation, and integration / separation projects
· Collecting, analysing, and interpreting people‑related data sets (e.g., headcount, organisational structures, compensation, workforce costs)
· Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities within workforce data to inform client decision‑making
· Preparing well‑structured deliverables, including data summaries, draft reports, presentations, and project trackers
· Working closely with senior team members to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of outputs
· Assisting with the coordination of information requests and documentation during fast‑paced deal cycles
· Participating in internal and client meetings, capturing actions, and following up on required items
· Supporting project management activities, including tracking progress, updating workplans, and managing document repositories
Experience / qualifications required
· A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Commerce, Economics, or Law
· Postgraduate studies in a related field (e.g., Honours in Industrial Psychology, HR Management, Business Science, or Analytics) would be advantageous
· At least 1 - 3 years of working experience in a consulting environment
· Or, alternatively, if you have worked as part of an in-house HR team who has gone through a deal process (either previously acquired or carved out from a global team); or form part of an in-house acquisition / corporate finance team who does continual M&A type work
· Exposure to people-related topics—HR processes, workforce planning, compensation analysis, organisational design, change management, and stakeholder engagement
· You are a team player, energetic, client-focused, and find it easy to build relationships
· You are flexible, and can quickly switch between different assignments and sectors
· Experience working with data sets—cleaning, analysing, and summarising information for reporting or decision‑making
· Exposure to Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic modelling) and PowerPoint for preparing client‑ready outputs
· Prior involvement in project support or team-based work, particularly in fast-paced or deadline-driven environments
· Comfort engaging with different stakeholders (e.g., peers, team leaders) and contributing in meetings
· You are proactive, pay attention to the details, driven, results-oriented, and naturally take initiative
