    Hiring Unit:
    DataSphereLab

    Position Summary:

    The core objectives of this position require the administrative support of all non-technical processes to allow the DataSphere technical team to build Proof-of-Concept (PoC) solutions for Data, Analytics and Machine Learning projects.

    The following activities/skillsets will be key for the success of this position:

    PRIMARY:

    General Lab Management

    • Answer Emails
    • Organize folders/content

    Hiring & Personnel Management

    • Develop a hiring channel/process for all DataSphere hires (including but not limited to; channel development, job requisition creation and posting, CV collation and processing, CRM upkeep, interview pre-selection, interview scheduling, onboarding
    • Provide process direction for students and all other hires/volunteers
    • Ensure work is being completed to required standards and process all submitted hours/ admin items for team
    • Support admin parts of training needs of DataLab team

    Contracting

    • Ensure that all Confidentiality, Legal and Admin documents are signed and stored (ie pre-partner engagement activities)
    • Ensure that billing/payments occur on time for sponsors
    • Ensure all final project items are conducted (ie post-partner engagement activities)
    • Ensure items are purchased, payment completed (ie Software/ other Vendors)

    Use Case Library Design & Development

    • Collate, anonymize and organize all client PoC work (with support from Cloud Engineer)


    Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

    Knowledge of English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level # (qualifier) on a scale of 0-4.

    (AMUSE C) $30.00
