The Opportunity:

As a Database Administrator, you will work alongside experts in signal processing, software development, and systems engineering. Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and support GoldenGate on Oracle RAC within a Linux environment.
• Understand and translate customer database requirements into effective database solutions.
• Develop optimal conceptual, logical, and physical data models with balanced performance and storage considerations.
• Configure, patch, and tune database management systems to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Create and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and metadata definitions.
• Ensure the effectiveness of storage, archiving, backup, and recovery processes through proactive monitoring and capacity planning.
• Regularly collaborate with technical, applications, and operational teams to maintain database integrity and security.
• Conduct performance tuning of indexes and databases to support efficient application execution.
• Support database backup and recovery operations and maintain disaster recovery readiness.
• Work closely with software engineers to enhance and support high‑volume data processing applications in a 24/7 high‑availability environment.
• Recommend and implement system enhancements that improve overall performance, security, and reliability.
• Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and standards for database management.
• Establish and maintain access controls, security measures, and data integrity protections.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, or related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
• Minimum of seven (7) years of technical experience in database design, implementation, and optimization
• Current Security+ certification..
• Expertise with Oracle, GoldenGate, and DataGuard.
• Strong SQL skills, including querying, analysis, and creation of stored procedures, triggers, and views.
• Proficiency with performance optimization techniques such as indexing, partitioning, and query tuning.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work on-site at the CACI facility in Sterling, VA.
Desired:
• Experience supporting high‑availability or mission‑critical operational environments.
• Familiarity with automation, scripting, or tools that enhance database operations.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to system reliability and improvement

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$103,800 - $218,100
