Government financial systems generate vast amounts of transactional and operational data. As a Data Scientist, you know how to extract meaningful patterns, trends, and signals from that data to drive smarter oversight, support fraud detection, and enable data-driven decision-making.
At Booz Allen, you’ll design and implement analytical models and machine learning solutions that transform complex financial data into actionable intelligence. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, analysts, and domain experts, you’ll help government clients detect anomalies, forecast risk, improve financial transparency, and meet critical compliance goals.

You Have:
8+ years of experience as a data scientist supporting cloud-based applications
Experience using and integrating LLM models, such as OpenAI, X.AI, or Claude, via APIs to enhance data analysis and automate insights
Experience with Python and R to conduct statistical computing and data visualizations
Experience in Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to identify trends, anomalies, and key insights from large datasets
Experience in Data Modeling to support predictive analytics and anomaly detection
Experience with dashboarding tools, such as AWS Quicksight
Experience with machine learning tools such as Amazon SageMaker
Experience in writing clean, maintainable code to support production-grade data science workflows
Public Trust
Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of experience in a professional work environment, or 4+ years of experience in a professional work environment in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience in supporting or modernizing financial systems
Experience with ETL and big data platforms, such as AWS Glue and EMR
Experience with generative AI tools, such as Amazon Bedrock
Experience with a graph database, such as Amazon Neptune

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
