Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Entry-Level Data Scientist or AI Engineer to join our dynamic team at Rolls-Royce Data Labs. In this role, you will work alongside experienced engineers and data scientists to develop and implement AI solutions that address real-world challenges in the aerospace industry. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with relevant experience to kickstart their careers in artificial intelligence and data analytics

Key Accountabilities

• Assist in the design, development, and deployment of AI models and algorithms to solve complex engineering problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand business needs.
• Conduct data analysis and pre-processing to prepare datasets for model training and evaluation.
• Support the testing and validation of AI models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Document processes, methodologies, and results to maintain clear communication within the team.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in AI and machine learning technologies.

Key skills and Technical Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Python, Azure technology stack and use of GenAI frameworks in the platform.
• Deep understanding of machine learning concepts and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with data manipulation and analysis using tools like Pandas, NumPy, or SQL.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Internship or project experience in AI, language modelling and data science.
• Certifications in cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Understanding of data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Matplotlib) is advantageous.
