Design, develop, and implement AI- and machine learning-based models and solutions to enrich the content and products of LexisNexis France, a leader in legal information.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and implement predictive models and advanced algorithms (NLP, classification, ranking, clustering).
- Leverage complex data (legal texts, metadata, usage logs) to create innovative solutions.
- Ensure the quality and robustness of models in production (testing, monitoring, optimization).
- Collaborate with the Product, Development, and Editorial teams to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
- Participate in technology monitoring and the improvement of data science practices.
Detailed activities:
- Data collection, cleaning, and preparation
- Model design and training (machine learning, deep learning, LLMs)
- Performance evaluation and hyperparameter tuning
- Presentation of experiment results
- Deployment of models in a cloud environment (AWS) with CI/CD
- Technical documentation and knowledge transfer to the team
- Contribution to applied research and POC projects
Required skills:
- Technical: Python (pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow). NLP (transformers, embeddings, LLMs). Databases (SQL, NoSQL).
- Methodological: Proficiency in best practices for development and versioning.
- Behavioral: Analytical and rigorous mindset. Ability to work in a team and communicate with a variety of people. Curiosity and a taste for innovation.
Experience:
6 month experience in data science.
Education:
Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a similar field.
Expected skills:
- Ability to work with supervision on data science projects.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-specialists.
- Ability to propose ideas for improving products and processes.
