Sanofi Global MSAT (Manufacturing Sciences, Analytics, and Technology) acts as a crucial link between our R&D and Manufacturing facilities, playing a vital role in securing the present portfolio and delivering future launches of high-quality and innovative drugs and vaccines. By driving its own transformation, Global MSAT fulfills an important function by providing day-to-day Manufacturing Support, focusing on technical and process aspects, effective Life Cycle Management, process robustness enhancement, and yield improvement to optimize performance. 

Under the lead of MSAT and in partnership with many other functions (Manufacturing 4.0, Digital, M&S, R&D), the Process Data Science & Digital team (MSAT-DSD) is a transversal team driving Data Sciences innovations, developments, expansion, and integration within MSAT day-to-day operation space and strongly contributes to design the tomorrow’s industrial bio, chemical and analytical processes bridging from R&D to industrial world. 

Within the MSAT DSD, the MSAT Digital Transformation Platform provides digital transformation capabilities and expertise to other operational MSAT DSD platforms to accelerate CMC activities, resolve process issues, and improve process performance.  The platform is responsible for or contributes to the implementation of key global programs such as iCMC (iLab - advanced analytics), Ignyte SPC, Process Analytical Technology, Product Lifecycle Management, Yield program, Gen AI, and others.  

The Data Science Project leader will lead a team to execute projects that deploy or maintain Data Science solutions that allow for the processing of process and analytical data (capture, visualization, modeling and methodological support), with a particular emphasis on MSAT GenAI efforts. He/she will contribute to the achievement of the standards of robustness and industrial performance of the product and analytical processes across the Sanofi network.  The Data Science Project Leader must analyze and understand the needs of internal customers in order to propose adapted digital / data science solutions. He/she must support change management and the adaptation of processes in the context of the use of new tools and technologies.

Main Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the MSAT Digital Transformation strategic vision and roadmap

  • Build strong partnerships with Digital, CMC community, M&S, and Launch Engine to execute strategic MSAT Digital Transformation roadmap

  • Coordinate the configuration, release, and deployment of digital tools across the Global MSAT Network

  • Lead with users the phases of gathering needs and associated business cases

  • Establish in synergy with site and global teams the necessary strategies and roadmaps associated with collected needs

  • Follow onsite processes to set up projects:

  • Objectives deliverables, projected gains

  • Budget and Planning

  • Probability of success analysis

  • Project risk mapping

  • Creation of project team and associated governance method

  • Communication

  • Lead on the execution and achievement of deliverables on time and within budget

  • Measure gains (cost, cycle time, robustness, etc)

  • Define communication plans, particularly regarding change management (training, education, etc)

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Digital, Biology, Scientific Project Management, Operations Research, or related disciplines.

  • Experience with Biotech / Pharma industry.

Competencies:

  • Technical skills: Data science skills (data capture, data management, data analysis, modeling), good general knowledge of pharma/biopharma manufacturing processes and analytics.

  • Managerial skills: Mastery of project management, results-oriented, ability to cooperate cross-functionally, act to change.

  • Quality skills: Knowledge of the site's quality processes and the regulations in force (cGMP, HSE, GMP, ICH).

  • Language: Fluent in English (Speaking and writing)

The salary range for this position is:

$85,500.00 - $123,500.00
