Surveillance Technology represents the 1st line of defense responsible for delivering solutions that protect the bank’s financial and reputational interests from potentially criminal or inappropriate behavior.

You will work within the Anti-Fraud tribe responsible for protecting our clients from financial crime using the latest cutting-edge technology and domain expertise. You will partner daily with stakeholders and colleagues across regions and time zones, translating global risk priorities into scalable, consistent controls. Your ecosystem involves tens of millions of daily events and you will leverage cloud-native streaming and batch data processing, advanced analytics, and state-of-the-art ML to detect suspicious patterns in real time.

Your key responsibilities

  • Analysing complex datasets and create clear, decision-ready dashboards and reporting
  • Designing, training, and validating machine-learning models for fraud detection and surveillance use cases
  • Implementing new business and regulatory requirements by enhancing data/ML pipelines end to end
  • Partnering closely with business stakeholders to translate needs into robust data pipelines, statistical dashboards, and production-grade ML solutions
  • Owning features from design through delivery, combining hands-on development with strong stakeholder management and clear communication
  • Coordinating with and mentor junior team members and graduates, supporting their technical growth and delivery quality

Your skills and experience

  • Hands-on Python 3 experience for production-grade data and ML systems
  • Experience of advanced SQL for querying, modeling, and optimizing analytical datasets
  • Cloud data engineering on Google Cloud Platform (e.g., BigQuery, Dataflow, Composer, Cloud Run, GCS, GKE)
  • End-to-end data & ML pipelines plus MLOps (Airflow; CI/CD; versioning, monitoring; Docker/Kubernetes)
  • Applied ML across classic and deep learning stacks (e.g., scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow/Keras, PyTorch)
  • Advanced analytics (Pandas/Polars/PySpark/NumPy), visualization (Matplotlib/Seaborn/Dash/Looker/Tableau), and real-time streaming (Kafka/Flink/Spark)
  • Privacy- and governance-aware ML: GDPR/CCPA, ethical AI, explainability (XAI), and experimentation (A/B testing; MLflow/Kubeflow/W&B)
