The purpose of this role is to ensure data quality across the organisation by defining, monitoring, and reporting on data quality issues, as well as recommending and implementing solutions. The role involves developing and maintaining data quality rules, supporting data cleansing activities, and advising senior stakeholders on strategic decisions to drive value and reduce risk.

Responsibilities:

  • Regularly measure, report, and present findings on data quality controls to relevant forums.
  • Interrogate databases to check data integrity and identify root causes for data errors.
  • Define and implement data quality metrics and controls across operational data systems.
  • Develop and apply data validation and correction routines using SQL.
  • Provide deep-dive analytics around key business concerns or opportunities.
  • Identify data anomalies and communicate them with potential solutions to relevant parties.
  • Conduct data quality assessments and derive data quality metrics.
  • Support the Data Quality Manager across all Information Management activities.
  • Implement and maximise the capabilities of a cloud-based data quality platform.
  • Advocate for data quality best practices and educate business users on data quality tools.

Work Experience:

Necessary Work Experience includes:

  • Some relevant work experience.

Preferred Work Experience includes:

  • Previous working experience in the Financial Services Industry, specifically General Insurance.

Qualifications:

Necessary Qualifications include:

  • Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Incumbent must be able to lift basic office equipment up to 20 lbs.
