The Data Protection Security Investigations Analyst conducts level two triage of insider threat and data protection events, including reviewing log files, collecting evidence, and analyzing information to identify potential data exposure or insider risks. Work assignments involve routine to moderately complex issues, where analysis requires the evaluation of various factors and the application of established procedures and guidelines.
The Data Protection Security Investigations Analyst works with EIP stakeholders and Humana teams to identify potential insider risk activity and help ensure appropriate controls are followed to mitigate data loss or policy violations. This role contributes to departmental objectives and provides input on process improvements. Work is performed with some guidance, and the analyst exercises limited to moderate latitude in determining the appropriate approach for assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support operational management of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools for web, email, and cloud platforms (CASB).
- Triage and investigate DLP alerts, focusing on potential data leakage or policy violations.
- Assist with incident response, coordinating with relevant teams and following escalation protocols.
- Monitor and investigate web and cloud access for potential indicators of data exfiltration, malware, or unauthorized use.
- Collaborate with EIP and Threat Management & Response (TMR) teams to escalate and resolve incidents.
- Contribute to process improvements and support departmental objectives.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 2+ years of relevant technical experience.
- Minimum 1 year in Cyber Data Protection or related field.
- Commitment to continuous improvement in consumer experiences.

WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
- A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
- Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
- A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$89,000 - $121,400 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
