Retail Advanced Analytics and Data (RAAD) partners closely with Retail Banking Services to enable best practice across data, advanced analytics, and AI. The team plays a key role in shaping data‑led decision making across the Everyday Banking domain, delivering trusted, well‑governed data products that support customers, colleagues, and the broader business.

As a Data Product Manager, you will support the execution of the domain data strategy and own the delivery, governance, and lifecycle management of high‑quality, reusable data products and data assets. You will help ensure data is discoverable, trustworthy, and fit‑for‑purpose, while meeting Group standards across data management, security, privacy, and record‑keeping.
The role has a strong focus on enabling ethical and effective use of data and AI, recognising that data quality and governance directly influence outcomes.
More specifically, you will:
Support execution of the domain data strategy aligned to business priorities and outcomes
Own the delivery, governance, and lifecycle of reusable Data Products and Data Assets, including business‑critical data, in line with Group policies
Define Data Products with clear business context and metadata to ensure discoverability, reuse, trust, and interoperability
Ensure compliance with Group standards across enterprise semantics, metadata, data lineage, retention, and disposal
Champion continuous improvement of the data estate, including modernisation, rationalisation, optimisation, and transition to strategic consumption pathways
Embed strong data management practices that enable effective and ethical use of data and AI
Partner with Crew Leads, Tech Leads, Delivery Product Owners, and CIO teams to deliver data product roadmaps
Enable effective data producer–consumer collaboration across Business Units and Support Units
Ensure Data Products comply with Group Information Security and Privacy policies
Set, monitor, and maintain data quality standards, including usage and quality metrics
Drive uplift and remediation where Data Products no longer meet required standards
Define and manage appropriate access and usage of Data Products and Data Assets
Promote data literacy and adoption of Group data management best practices
We’re interested in hearing from people who have:
8+ years’ experience across data management, data governance, data engineering, or control frameworks
Proven experience delivering enterprise‑scale data initiatives in complex or regulated environments
A strong data product mindset, aligned to business outcomes
Experience engaging and influencing stakeholders across business and technology teams
Passion for building capability, fostering collaboration, and driving continuous improvement
Experience supporting data cloud migration and exposure to the AWS ecosystem (desirable)
Tech skills
Strong background in data management, data engineering, stewardship, and large‑scale data platforms
Experience designing, deploying, and operating solutions in AWS or Snowflake environments
Hands‑on experience with language such as Python, SQL and tools like Alation, AWS Data Exchange, Glue and AWS integration services
Exposure to version control and CI/CD pipelines (for example, GitHub) is desirable
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or
Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
