Job Title and Overview:
Data Measurement & Reporting Associate Advisor
The Technology Metrics & Reporting (TMR) team is looking for a skilled Tableau reporting expert. The ideal candidate will ensure that we present data in a meaningful format, helping the leadership to get visibility to operational environment and aiding teams in identifying opportunities for further improvements.
This role is responsible for building Tableau dashboards utilizing various data sources e.g. Jira, Pathfinder, ServiceNow, Clarity, Workday etc., and performing required data analysis or investigations. They will also be responsible for maintaining and adhering to standard practices, processing documentation, performing quality assurance, and collaborating across multiple teams within and outside of our immediate team/group. They will work with Reporting stakeholders and customers to share dashboards and any related data analysis performed. They will also be responsible for team-owned dashboard transitions to the Tableau Cloud, and for embedding Artificial Intelligence within ‘views’ to help our customers with analytics.
Responsibilities:
Ideal candidates must possess a combination of technical and interpersonal skills enabling them to develop and share their work with a broad group of partners.< >Develop Tableau views with a variety of data sources to help our partners visualize their information and identify any areas of opportunity.
Complete process of requirements, analysis, design, build, and testing of the dashboards.
Comply with and maintain best practices, adhering to standard processes and continuous improvements.
Drive adoption of Tableau Cloud for dashboard views.
Integrate AI capabilities with visualizations.
Collaborate and partner with other Tech Metrics & Reporting team members and external core team partners.
Provide ad-hoc data analysis to support leadership decisions.
Continuous focus on process optimization, automation, and thorough documentation.
Socialize and demonstrate scorecards and improvement findings with various partners, including management and leadership teams.
Create and maintain necessary documentation.
Troubleshoot issues and provide production support on existing dashboards.
Maintain awareness of industry best practices and evaluate their application to our work.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology, or related technical discipline
Experience:
8+ years of hands-on technical expertise in Tableau development utilizing multiple data sources, focused on SQL Server databases, and data analysis
Skills:
Must have a broad and deep understanding of the technologies in this field, including but not limited to Tableau, SQL Server, Data Analysis, MS-Office suite
Proven skills to build interactive and user-friendly Tableau dashboards
Proven ability to perform in-depth data analysis, troubleshooting, and present insights clearly
Advanced skills in Excel to validate and structure data
Ability to write complex data queries (Tableau/SQL Server)Ability to analyze and utilize databases efficiently
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn and apply innovative technologies
Knowledge of Jira, Workday, and ServiceNow tools, along with their related data elements
Ability to quickly learn and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Ability to prioritize and meet tight timelines
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Cloud technologies and AI tools is strongly desired.
Tableau certification
Knowledge of web application development and Dotnet
