What you'll do:
Job Family Definition (Data Services Engineering – People Manager)
Partners across Server BU to enable AI/Automation projects, working with Hardware / Software Engineering, Product Management, and NPI/Supply Chain organizations. Defines and integrates critical enterprise data sources that power analytics, AI models, and automation workflows. Leads teams responsible for data pipelines, data products, and governed data services that enable product development, manufacturing, supply chain, and lifecycle operations. Interfaces with data platform teams, application owners, and engineering stakeholders to resolve data quality, availability, lineage, and performance issues. Accountable for sustaining and improving data assets through reliability, scalability, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. Analyzes data defects, gaps, and anomalies; communicates findings to source-system owners and downstream consumers; and drives corrective actions across processes, systems, and controls.
Management Level Definition
Applies advanced subject-matter expertise in data engineering, analytics platforms, and enterprise integration to manage staff solving common and complex business and technical problems within established governance and security policies. Manages exempt individual contributors and/or supervisors. Accountable for results of major data programs, including cost, delivery, data quality, and people management. Provides direction on data architecture, process improvements, and operating model changes aligned with business strategy and AI/automation roadmaps. Plans, manages, and monitors operational and tactical activities; team work may include strategic initiatives. Recruits, develops, and retains talent. Reports to Director level.
Additional Guidance / Criteria
Manages activities within a single country or sub-region as part of a larger geographic region. Manages typically 8–15 direct reports. Span-of-control guidelines may vary.
