Position Requirements

This role is predominantly focused on loading and transforming data in the Microsoft stack – Azure Synapse dedicated pool, SQL Server, Azure SQL DB, Azure Managed SQL Instance, and Cosmos. It also focuses on development work mostly in ADF and Powershell and maintaining and creating ETL/ELT infrastructure along with query tuning and some design work. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and business leaders to Determine data needs and issues and to code for what is needed

  • Work with other members of the department to provide new insights into issues and to foster professional growth.

  • Debug and optimize SQL.

  • Develop scalable data pipelines and deploy machine learning models into production environments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1 Year Experience. 

  • SQL Server and at least 1 additional DBMS.  

  • Azure Cloud experience/SQL Server on VM/Managed DBs/Azure SQL/ Azure Synapse dedicated Pools. 

  • Azure Data Factory.  

  • Ability to write, understand, and optimize SQL. 

  • Experience with SQL backup and recovery.  

  • Experience with columnstore indexes. 

  • Knowledge of data modeling, dimensional modeling, and warehousing concepts.  

  • Ability to document projects, data transformations and databases. 

  • Experience with Powershell for pulling or pushing data and automating SQL Server related tasks. 

  • Exposure to Power BI. 

  • Experience with Python 

  • At least 2 of the following: 

PySpark 

DBT 

Data Quality automation 

MS Fabric with curated delta/medallion architecture

  • Experience with Anesthesia billing and claims 

  • Experience with Finance and Accounting 

  • Experience with HR/Workday 

  • Experience with Medical Quality 

  • Experience with data quality /  MIPS
